General

What is Wellness with Alee?

Wellness with Alee is a virtual-first wellness practice offering personalized yoga mentorship, whole-person wellness coaching, meditation and mindfulness support, Reiki, and select group experiences. The work is designed to help people build practices they can actually use in everyday life — without needing to perform wellness perfectly.

Who do you work with?

I work with people who want a more personal, grounded approach to wellness. Some are complete beginners. Others already practice yoga, meditation, or other wellness tools and want more structure, depth, or individualized support.

Do I need experience with yoga, meditation, or wellness practices?

No. You can start exactly where you are. Sessions can be adapted for beginners, people returning after time away, or people who already have an established practice.

Are sessions virtual or in person?

Most services are designed to work virtually. Select in-person offerings may be available in Indianapolis, Columbus, and Cleveland depending on the service, schedule, and location.

Do you have a physical studio?

Wellness with Alee is virtual-first and does not rely on a single permanent studio model. Select in-person sessions, workshops, and collaborations may be offered in Indianapolis, Columbus, and Cleveland.

What happens before we start working together?

You will begin with the information needed for your specific service, such as a booking form, intake questions, or an initial conversation. The goal is to understand what you are looking for and make sure the service is a good fit before we build a plan.

Can I combine services?

Yes. Depending on your goals, your work may naturally include more than one practice. For example, yoga mentorship may include breath awareness or meditation, and whole-person wellness coaching may draw from movement, mindfulness, rest, and routine-building. Reiki can also be added when it fits the experience and is available.

Is this therapy or medical care?

No. Wellness with Alee offers education, coaching, movement, mindfulness, meditation, Reiki, and wellness support. These services do not diagnose or treat medical or mental-health conditions and are not a replacement for licensed healthcare.

What if I have a health condition, injury, or I am pregnant?

Please share relevant information before participating in movement, breathwork, or other practices. Some practices may need to be modified or avoided. When a question falls outside my scope, I may recommend that you speak with an appropriate licensed healthcare professional before continuing.

How do I know which service is right for me?

If you already know what you want, you can book or inquire through that service page. If you are unsure, start with the Work With Me page or contact form and share what you are hoping to build, change, or understand.

Can I work with you if I live outside Indiana or Ohio?

Yes. Virtual services are available nationwide when the service is appropriate for remote delivery. In-person availability is limited to select offerings in Indianapolis, Columbus, and Cleveland.

What is your approach to wellness?

My approach is practical, whole-person, and rooted in the idea that wellness is a practice, not a performance. I believe in building tools that fit real life, honoring both traditional wisdom and modern understanding, and making space for curiosity instead of perfection.

Yoga Mentorship

What is yoga mentorship?

Yoga mentorship is personalized support for building a yoga practice with more understanding and intention. Instead of only following a class, we can work with movement, alignment, breath, anatomy, philosophy, meditation, and the questions that come up as your practice develops.

Is yoga mentorship the same as a private yoga class?

Not exactly. A private class may focus mainly on practicing together in the moment. Mentorship can include practice, but it also gives us room to teach, discuss, troubleshoot, study philosophy, and build something you can continue on your own.

Do I need to be flexible to start yoga?

No. Flexibility is not a requirement for yoga. Your practice can be adapted to your current body, mobility, experience, and goals.

Can we focus on yoga philosophy and not just poses?

Yes. Yoga mentorship can include the Eight Limbs, the Yamas and Niyamas, foundational texts, meditation, breath practices, self-study, and how yoga philosophy can be explored in everyday life.

Can you help me build a home yoga practice?

Yes. One of the goals of mentorship can be creating a realistic personal practice you understand well enough to use independently, whether that means a short daily sequence, a few dependable practices, or a more structured routine.

What if I am completely new to yoga?

That is a great place to begin. We can slow the process down, explain terminology, build confidence with foundational movements, and make sure you understand why you are doing what you are doing.

Can sessions be virtual?

Yes. Yoga mentorship is designed to work virtually. I can teach, observe movement, offer verbal cues, discuss philosophy, and help you build a personal practice through video sessions.

Do I need special yoga equipment?

No. We can usually begin with a safe space to move and whatever you already have. Props can be recommended if they would make your practice more comfortable or accessible.

Will you give me a set yoga plan?

We can build structure, but the goal is not to hand you a rigid routine that ignores real life. Your plan can change as your body, schedule, interests, and understanding change.

Is yoga mentorship appropriate if I have an injury?

It depends on the injury and what you have been cleared to do. Yoga mentorship is not rehabilitation or physical therapy. I can adapt movement within my scope, and I may ask you to get guidance from a licensed healthcare professional when needed.

Whole-Person Wellness Coaching

What is whole-person wellness coaching?

Whole-person wellness coaching is personalized support for looking at your wellness as a connected system rather than one isolated habit. We may work with movement, rest, mindfulness, routines, stress, planning, self-awareness, and the practical barriers that make consistency difficult.

What happens in a wellness coaching session?

Sessions are conversational and practical. We look at what is happening now, identify what needs attention, choose realistic next steps, and build tools or routines that fit your actual life.

Is wellness coaching therapy?

No. Coaching is not psychotherapy and does not diagnose or treat mental-health conditions. It can support reflection, accountability, planning, and wellness practices alongside therapy or other professional care when appropriate.

Do I have to change everything at once?

No. In fact, I would rather help you build a small number of useful practices than give you a long wellness checklist you cannot maintain.

What kinds of goals can we work on?

Goals can include creating a sustainable movement practice, making space for rest, developing mindfulness habits, building routines, understanding stress patterns, strengthening accountability, or creating a personal wellness plan.

What if I know what I should do but I cannot stay consistent?

That is a common reason people seek coaching. We can look at what is making the plan difficult — time, energy, overwhelm, unrealistic expectations, lack of structure, or something else — and redesign the plan around what is actually workable.

Will you give me nutrition or medical advice?

I can discuss general wellness habits and help you organize goals, but I do not replace a physician, registered dietitian, therapist, or other licensed professional. When something needs specialized care, I will stay within my scope and encourage appropriate support.

How long do I need to work with a wellness coach?

That depends on the goal and the structure you choose. Coaching works best when there is enough time to apply what we discuss, notice what is working, and adjust the plan instead of treating one conversation as a complete transformation.

Meditation & Mindfulness

What is the difference between meditation and mindfulness?

Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to present experience with awareness. Meditation is one structured way to practice attention and awareness. You can meditate mindfully, but you can also practice mindfulness while walking, eating, moving, working, or doing everyday tasks.

Do I need to empty my mind to meditate?

No. Meditation is not about forcing the mind to stop producing thoughts. A large part of practice is noticing when attention wanders and learning how to return without turning that moment into failure.

What if I cannot sit still?

You do not have to sit perfectly still to meditate. We can explore seated, lying-down, walking, movement-based, guided, or other practices that make sense for you.

How long do I need to meditate?

There is no single required amount of time. A short practice you can return to may be more useful than forcing a long session you dread. We can build duration gradually if that serves you.

Can mindfulness help me feel calm?

Sometimes, but calm is not the only goal. Mindfulness can help you notice what is happening more clearly, including moments that are uncomfortable, busy, emotional, or uncertain.

Can we create a meditation practice that fits my schedule?

Yes. We can choose practices, lengths, cues, and routines that work with your day instead of expecting you to organize your life around an ideal meditation schedule.

Do you offer guided meditation?

Yes. Depending on the session, we may use guided meditation, breath awareness, body scans, visualization, walking meditation, or other appropriate techniques.

Is meditation a replacement for mental-health treatment?

No. Meditation and mindfulness can be supportive wellness practices, but they are not substitutes for diagnosis, therapy, medication, crisis support, or other mental-health care when those are needed.

Reiki

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese complementary practice in which a trained practitioner uses light touch or hands-off techniques within an energy-based spiritual framework. Many people seek Reiki as a quiet, reflective, or relaxing wellness experience.

Do you offer distance Reiki?

Yes. Long-distance Reiki is the primary virtual Reiki offering. You and I do not need to be in the same physical location for the session.

How does distance Reiki work?

Distance Reiki is understood within Reiki tradition as a form of practice that is not dependent on physical contact. It is best described as part of the spiritual and practitioner framework of Reiki rather than as an established biomedical mechanism.

What happens during a Reiki session?

You will have space to settle in comfortably while I guide the session according to the format we have chosen. In-person sessions may use light touch or hands-off techniques based on consent and comfort. Virtual sessions are conducted remotely.

Do I have to believe in Reiki for a session?

No particular spiritual belief is required. You are welcome to approach the experience with curiosity and decide for yourself what it means to you.

Can Reiki treat a medical condition?

Reiki should be treated as a complementary wellness practice, not a medical treatment. It does not replace medical or mental-health care, and I do not use Reiki to diagnose conditions.

Will you touch me during an in-person Reiki session?

Only with your consent. Reiki can be offered hands-on or hands-off. You can request no touch at any time.

What is a Reiki Master Teacher?

Reiki Master Teacher is a training title used within many Reiki lineages for someone who has completed advanced practitioner training that includes teaching or initiating students. It is a Reiki training designation, not a medical credential.

Will you offer Reiki training?

Reiki I and II intensive experiences are part of the future offering plan. Details will be published when dates, format, and enrollment are available.

Groups, Workshops & Retreats

Do you work with schools, businesses, and organizations?

Yes. Group experiences can be designed for schools, youth programs, businesses, community organizations, private groups, and collaborative events.

What kinds of workshops can you offer?

Topics may include yoga, mindfulness, meditation, stress education, movement, breath awareness, wellness planning, reflective practices, and other experiences tailored to the group and setting.

Can you create a custom program for our organization?

Yes. Programs can be adapted around audience, age group, goals, session length, number of sessions, setting, and available space.

Do you offer youth programming?

Yes. Age-appropriate yoga, mindfulness, movement, wellness education, and creative activities can be designed for youth programs and school settings.

Can workshops be virtual?

Yes. Some workshops and group sessions can be delivered virtually, while others may be better suited to in-person delivery depending on the format.

Where are in-person group programs available?

Select in-person programs may be available in Indianapolis, Columbus, and Cleveland. Travel, venue, group size, and project scope are considered when building the proposal.

Do you offer retreats?

Yes. Retreat-style experiences may be offered as standalone events or custom group experiences. Availability and format will vary by season and project.

How far in advance should an organization inquire?

Earlier is better for multi-session programs, retreats, school programming, or events that require travel or custom planning. Use the inquiry form with your preferred dates, location, audience, and goals so availability can be reviewed.

Booking, Contact & Policies

How do I book a session?

Use the booking or inquiry button on the service page you are interested in. If the service is directly bookable, you will be taken to the available scheduling flow. Custom programs and group work begin with an inquiry.

What if I am not sure what to book?

Use the general inquiry form and tell me what you are looking for. You do not need to choose the perfect service before reaching out.

How will virtual sessions take place?

Virtual sessions are held by video call. The exact platform and access details will be provided with your booking confirmation or session instructions.

Can I book an in-person session in Indianapolis, Columbus, or Cleveland?

Possibly. In-person availability is selective and depends on the service, date, location, and space. Virtual sessions remain the primary option.

What should I include in a group or organization inquiry?

Include your organization name, location, audience, approximate group size, preferred dates, desired session length or program length, and what you hope participants will gain.
