Work With Alee
A quiet space for rest, reflection, and intentional care.
Reiki is an energy-based practice that originated in Japan and is commonly offered through light touch, hands held near the body, or at a distance.
People come to Reiki for many personal reasons: curiosity, rest, ritual, reflection, spiritual practice, or simply the experience of setting aside intentional time to slow down.
Alee offers Reiki as a complementary wellness practice, not as a medical treatment.
Long-distance Reiki
Long-distance Reiki allows you to receive the session from your own space.
Before the session, you will receive simple guidance for creating a quiet environment if that is available to you. You do not need special equipment, a particular belief system, or prior Reiki experience.
The session is intended to create intentional space for stillness and reflection. Experiences vary from person to person, and no particular sensation or outcome is required for the session to be considered complete.
What a Reiki session is not
Reiki does not diagnose conditions and should not be used in place of appropriate medical, mental-health, or other licensed healthcare.
In-person Reiki
Select in-person Reiki experiences may be offered in Indianapolis, Columbus, and Cleveland depending on Alee’s schedule, events, collaborations, and available space.
Reiki education
Reiki I and Reiki II intensive experiences may also be offered as scheduled. These are intended as focused learning experiences rather than permanent weekly classes.
Who this may be a good fit for
- Someone curious about Reiki who wants a low-pressure introduction

Questions about this page
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese complementary practice in which a trained practitioner uses light touch or hands-off techniques within an energy-based spiritual framework. Many people seek Reiki as a quiet, reflective, or relaxing wellness experience.
Do you offer distance Reiki?
Yes. Long-distance Reiki is the primary virtual Reiki offering. You and I do not need to be in the same physical location for the session.
How does distance Reiki work?
Distance Reiki is understood within Reiki tradition as a form of practice that is not dependent on physical contact. It is best described as part of the spiritual and practitioner framework of Reiki rather than as an established biomedical mechanism.
What happens during a Reiki session?
You will have space to settle in comfortably while I guide the session according to the format we have chosen. In-person sessions may use light touch or hands-off techniques based on consent and comfort. Virtual sessions are conducted remotely.
Do I have to believe in Reiki for a session?
No particular spiritual belief is required. You are welcome to approach the experience with curiosity and decide for yourself what it means to you.
Can Reiki treat a medical condition?
Reiki should be treated as a complementary wellness practice, not a medical treatment. It does not replace medical or mental-health care, and I do not use Reiki to diagnose conditions.
Will you touch me during an in-person Reiki session?
Only with your consent. Reiki can be offered hands-on or hands-off. You can request no touch at any time.
What is a Reiki Master Teacher?
Reiki Master Teacher is a training title used within many Reiki lineages for someone who has completed advanced practitioner training that includes teaching or initiating students. It is a Reiki training designation, not a medical credential.
Will you offer Reiki training?
Reiki I and II intensive experiences are part of the future offering plan. Details will be published when dates, format, and enrollment are available.
